We have a current vacancy based in the UK, but to support our French office as a Management Accountant

Job Summary

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial accounts for Campbell Scientific France and for the tracking of spend on projects in the French and UK offices highlighting overspends and identifying possible areas for savings.

The Management Accountant will also have responsibility for payment and payroll processing for Campbell Scientific France.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for management review.

• Implement cost control measures to optimise profitability.

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis for investment and resource allocation decisions.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Support external audits related to financial statements and project finances.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

• Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and data integrity.

• Maintain accurate project accounting records, including revenue recognition and cost allocation.

• Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and forecasts.

• Provide insights into budget variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in financial management.

• Streamline workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Implement best practices in project accounting and financial reporting.

• Support the preparation of monthly payroll files and payments.

• Preparation of monthly and ad hoc supplier payments.

Required Skills

• Previous experience of project and management accounting is essential.

• Evidence of working with remote teams and establishing strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial reporting.

• Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
