Our customer is seeking a movivated, energetic and innovative IT Assistant to join their engineering and design consulting firm. Must be a self-starter willing to grow with the company. This will be Tier 1 and Tier 2 level work. JOB OVERVIEW: This person will be joining the IT Department that currently consists of two individuals - John Holderman (CTO) and Billie Mink (IT Specialist - Actalent consultant). Commonwealth uses Dell equipment and this person will thus be supporting a Dell Environment. Commonwealth currently has 6 offices (Indianapolis South, Indianapolis North, Ft. Wayne, Crown Point, Evansville and Bowling Green, KY). This individual will be supporting all the offices - approximately 175 employees. JOB DUTIES: - Adnminister workstations, printers, peripherals, phones, software deployment, servers, security updates and patches. - Building machines, making sure users are connected, install outlook on phone. - Provision / de Provision users machines. - Maintain records of accounts, SW licensing and company devices. - Provide assistance in the use of company HW, SW and specialized technology. - Manage, backup, remove, and archive company data. - Maintain IT inventory and workstations - Consult with users, management, third party vendors and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements. - Create and record standard operating procedures for the IT dept and users in the org. - Evaluate technology and user needs to recommend improvements. - Research and test HW and SW prior to implementation - Troubleshoot PC, website, and other company SW issues. - Ticketing system is Spiceworks - Oversee time-lapse video projects at construction sites. Qualifications/Skills: - 2 year degree in IT - proficiency with Windows OS, Active Directory, Azure AD and Dell hardware - Proficiency with Cisco products and VMware Other: 1) Building Workstations 2) Software Installations - AutoCAD and Civil 3D as well and civil engineering software 3) Troubleshooting Desktop, Peripherals, Software and Networking MISC. Information - For troubleshooting user issues, this person will utilize MS Teams - This person may need to travel to different offices as times to support IT initiatives or issues - Commonwealth would prefer this person work out of their Indy North location. However, if the person will only want to work out of Indy South, they can potentially move other consultant to the North office. - This person will be "front line" support for the company and will escalate issues to Manager or vendor support if they cannot fix issue
