Risk Career Development Program

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS is seeking candidates for a part-time Risk Career Development role at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO. The intent of this position is to provide a year-round, entry-level position to currently enrolled college students on our Risk Management team. This is an exciting, opportunity for candidates who excel in a busy, achievement-oriented environment. The purpose of the Career Development Program is to obtain relevant work experience that can lead to long-term placement with JBS. School credit may be available.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the management and development of casualty book of business.

• Support the Director with analysis and research of strategic projects.

• Learn the ins and outs of compliance as it relates to companywide loss control.

• Assist the Director with insurance integration of current and future M&As.

• Support the Risk Management team by gathering documentation from internal sources.

• Shadow internal conversations, as appropriate, to become a subject matter expert.

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of various regulatory filings, with support from risk team.

• Assist with the maintenance of the Risk Management insurance records keeping.

• Partner and support internal transportation groups.

• Collect and house reports from TPA in Risk Management SharePoint site.

• Provide internal customer support for all COI requests, with support from risk team.

• Help coordinate activities with our internal engineers and risk insurance engineers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing anAssociate’sor Bachelor’sdegree required . Accounting, Finance, or Business degree preferred.

• Must be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Hours must be scheduled Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, year-round .

• 1-2 years customer service experience preferred

• Self-motivated

• Maintain a high level of accuracy

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers

• Ability to multi-taskandworksuccessfully under strict deadlines

• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

• Paid Time Off : sick leave and vacation;

• 401(k) : company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; and

• Base salary range of $19.00 - $20.00/hr ;
