  • Dedicated team player with strong customer service orientation and sense of humor.

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus, though not required.

  • Familiarity with Harvard is a plus, though not required.

This is a hybrid position based on our campus in Cambridge, MA. The position is required to work in-person on campus a minimum of three days per week during the academic year. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.

Salary Range: $64,051 - $101,923

Note: Starting salaries typically fall in the lower half of the salary range; however, they are ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

Department:Dean's OfficePre-Employment Screening:Identity Job Function:General Administration Position Description: Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform complex administrative duties, with the highest degree of confidentiality and judgment, using strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Manage complex busy calendar for the Dean; schedule appointments and coordinate all aspects of travel.

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief of Staff, including scheduling and high-level meeting coordination.

  • Respond to Dean's correspondence and invitations as directed by Chief of Staff; compose and edit letters, memos, and other communications.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Dean’s Office, greeting in person visitors to the office and screening and referring incoming phone calls and requests for meetings.

  • Manage the Dean’s Office email account, responding to or referring to appropriate departments as needed.

  • Work collaboratively and professionally with Dean's Office team, providing backup for various support functions, including financial transaction processing.

  • Work collaboratively with the offices of other senior leaders at the University, where required.

  • Identify and keep track of meetings at which the Dean will have staffing needs; coordinate with the schedules of those staff to ensure that the Dean’s staffing needs are met.

  • Ensure timely collection and production of the Dean’s daily briefing materials.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.
